How long has FlightWorks been in business? We have been in business since 1994. During that period, FlightWorks has maintained an incident- and accident-free record, with top industry safety ratings.
Where does FlightWorks operate? FlightWorks is headquartered in Kennesaw, Georgia, a northern suburb of Atlanta. Currently, we operate fully functional ground facilities in Atlanta, GA (KRYY), Jacksonville, FL (KJAX) and Washington, DC (KHEF). In addition, we maintain aircraft in the following areas: Southern Florida, Boston, MA, Tulsa, OK, and Knoxville, TN.
What if I don't live in one of the above cities? With an Affiliate Relations Network of more than 1000 aircraft, FlightWorks can provide lift at any time, anywhere through a regulated Operator Standards process that ensures safety, quality and competitive pricing. FlightWorks can also reposition our aircraft, without significant cost and pick you up at the general aviation airport closest to your home or business.
What are the aviation services that FlightWorks offers? FlightWorks specializes in Executive Aircraft Charter and Aircraft Management Programs. We also offer Aviation Advisory services, and Government Services, tailored to meet your specific needs.
What are 4-Letter Airport Codes? The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) assigns unique 4-letter airport identification codes to each airport. These codes are used as specific identifiers and eliminate confusion in identifying airport locations in cities with the same name in different states or countries.

What are the benefits of charter as compared to commercial airlines? How much does air charter cost? Charter may be more cost efficient than you think. The cost to charter a jet varies based on the size of the aircraft, your destination and duration of stay. FlightWorks will be happy to consult with you to determine the best solution for your travel requirements. We will provide a quote for your travel, and will gladly arrange any ancillary travel services or requests. You can easily obtain a general quote using our On-Line Quote Service. How is charter pricing structured? FlightWorks' pricing is based on an hourly rate for each aircraft. This is the most common pricing structure among charter operators. Additional costs may include fuel surcharges, landing fees and crew expenses for overnight travel.
Can I keep the airplane overnight or for a week? Yes. When you charter FlightWorks' aircraft, you determine your travel schedule. The aircraft is yours to schedule in terms of flight travel distance and travel duration. Make multiple stops, stay away one night or several weeks. We know your schedule can change; you can be assured that FlightWorks will accommodate last minute adjustments to your itinerary.
Can I change my schedule while I am on the trip? Yes. Our Charter Specialists and Dispatchers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are in constant communication with your crew and will gladly assist you with schedule changes whenever required.
Is FlightWorks a charter operator or charter broker? We are a charter operator - FlightWorks is an approved FAA domestic and international air carrier. We are authorized to operate the aircraft listed on our FAR Part 135 certificate. FlightWorks' operations are routinely audited and inspected by the FAA and industry regulatory authorities.
Is chartering an aircraft similar to renting an aircraft? No. In order to rent an aircraft, you must be a pilot. When you charter an aircraft from FlightWorks, we provide a professional crew (we often provide a Cabin Manager for your increased safety and comfort) and FlightWorks manages all the scheduling details for your trip.
What types of aircraft are in FlightWorks fleet? FlightWorks operates a diverse selection of business jets from top manufacturers including Gulfstream, Cessna, Bombardier, Dassault, Raytheon and IAI. Aircraft models include Gulfstream's G450, GIVSP, GIII, G11SP, Challenger 604 & 300, Falcon 2000 & 50, Hawker 800XPi, 800XP, 800A, Cessna Citation Excel, III's, II's, V's, Bravo, CJ1's and Beechjet 400A and Westwind II.
How do I arrange an aircraft charter trip? It's easy. Simply call a Charter Specialist at 1-800-255-1971 and tell us where you want to go and when. We will suggest airports that are closest to your destination. And, we will arrange in-flight catering, ground transportation, hotels…whatever you need to make your trip relaxing, comfortable and productive. Your quote will include a detailed itinerary letting your know your departure time and your expected arrival time. How do you confirm my flight? We will send an email or fax confirmation document which provides your complete itinerary and includes details about the aircraft, the crew and contact numbers. It will provide instructions about where to check-in upon arrival at your departure airfield. Payment and cancellation details will also be included.
Can I charter a trip one-way? Certainly. We are here to serve your travel needs and we will always provide you with the most cost effective, efficient travel solutions for your travel requirements. Charter pricing is typically based on round trip charges; however, we will gladly quote a one way trip and we may be able to find an empty leg for you.
What is an empty leg? This is an industry term which describes a repositioning section of a flight. An 'empty leg' occurs when the aircraft leaves its home base and travels to pick up a passenger(s), or returns to its home base after dropping off a passenger(s). The flight segment or 'leg', when the aircraft flies empty (no passengers), is considered the 'empty leg'. It may also be referred to as the 'backhaul' or 'deadhead' segment. Often, these segments are available at a reduced rate.
What happens when I arrive at my destination? FlightWorks' pilots will escort you and your baggage to the terminal building, where your ground transportation will be waiting. FlightWorks will gladly arrange all your ground transportation and hotel reservations at the time you book your air charter travel.
What refreshments are served on board the jet? FlightWorks provides a selection of snacks and beverages aboard the aircraft. We will discuss your catering requests when we arrange your flight. We will coordinate gourmet catering for you and your guests, as well as arrange any special dietary or beverage requests.
Are pets allowed on an air charter flights? FlightWorks can usually accommodate passengers traveling with their pets. Dogs need to be well trained and cats are usually required to be in a pet carrier. When flying to a foreign country, you will be required to provide official documents concerning your pet shots and proof of good health.
Are there flight attendants on chartered aircraft? FlightWorks provides a Cabin Manager for your safety and comfort on most mid-size and heavy jets.
What are the requirements for your pilots? FlightWorks exceeds FAA requirements for pilots. We adhere to the highest proficiency levels as required by ARG/US 'Platinum' and Wyvern Wingman audits. FlightWorks pilots participate in FAA required recurrency training, medical exams and safety screenings. All pilots are FAA certified and licensed. FlightWorks provides two pilots on every private jet flight and, typically, one pilot on FlightWorks' helicopter flights.

How do I find out about available positions within FlightWorks? FlightWorks maintains information about available positions on our web site. The Careers section of our web site includes a link called 'Opportunities'. It is constantly updated with new positions, descriptions and forms.
I'm interested in working for FlightWorks. How often should I submit my resume? FlightWorks Human Resources keeps resumes and applications "active" for six months. You should submit your resume and/or application specifically for each position in which you are interested. Electronically sending your resume is preferred, not only because it is easy and less expensive for job seekers, but because it also works best for distribution to hiring managers at FlightWorks.
Are internships or summer employment opportunities for students offered at FlightWorks? If so, how do I apply for one? Summer positions are offered at FlightWorks based on the availability of work or projects that lend themselves to intern employment. Internships are arranged individually, and on a limited basis. Please contact Human Resources with a cover letter and resume indicating your areas of interest. Internships may or may not be paid, depending on the length of the internship, and the nature of the duties.
