Michal Elvidge is FlightWorks Director of Finance and is responsible for fiscal operations and operating efficiencies. Mr. Elvidge manages the day to day operations of FlightWorks accounting, owner service budgets, finance and supplier relations.

Director of Quality Assurance

Roy Gioconda, Director of Quality Assurance, assures that FlightWorks operates to the highest standards of aviation safety.  Through FlightWorks commitment to continual safety improvement, Mr. Gioconda fosters a culture that adheres to our ISO 9001:2000 policies and procedures with regard to technical services and aircraft maintenance.  He is responsible for the assurance of airworthy, safe, reliable aircraft and for compliance to the appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations.  He provides logistics support and manages the repair of aircraft equipment, components and avionics equipment.  Mr. Gioconda graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida.

Senior Director of Operations

Larry Hecht, FlightWorks' Senior Director of Operations, is responsible for professional standards, regulatory compliance, and management of FlightWorks flight crews. He develops and audits operational standards, implements all required crew training programs and ensures adherence to long-term safety standards. Mr. Hecht holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with type ratings in the Challenger 604, Learjet 60, Learjet 20, 30 & 50 and Citation 500 series aircraft. In addition, Mr. Hecht has accumulated over 14,000 hours of incident and accident free flying and has served as an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner and Check Airman.Mr. Hecht has held the positions of Director of Flight Operations, Aviation Department Manager, Chief Pilot and Senior Captain with major corporations.  Mr. Hecht represents FlightWorks as a member of Sentient's Safety Board, partnered with former members of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

Corporate Controller

Sharon Hester joined FlightWorks in 2007. Ms. Hester serves as Corporate Controller providing expertise in information analysis, accounting services, process improvement and financial analysis with oversight for all accounting-related functions.  Before joining FlightWorks, Ms. Hester was controller of Stratix Corporation, an inventory management systems company. She began her career with Component Sales of America, where she served for ten ears and was promoted to the position of controller. Ms. Hester earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from Kennesaw State University.

Director of Human Resources

Taylor Lewis, Director of Human Resources, leads the strategic and tactical functions that involve human capital management to include organizational development, workforce planning, talent acquisition, compensation & benefits administration, employee relations, policy and procedure development, performance management, compliance, and diversity & inclusion. She has direct oversight and accountability for all HR related initiatives at the corporate and field locations. Ms. Lewis has nearly 15 years of delivering award-winning human resource solutions to companies ranging in size from a small privately held firm to large Fortune 200 companies. She is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation. Ms. Lewis is also an aspiring private pilot and currently serves as a volunteer ground instructor with Aviation Career Enrichment (ACE) in Atlanta, Georgia.

Southeast Regional Sales Manager

Colby McDowell, FlightWorks' Southeast Regional Sales Manager, is responsible for retail charter sales, aircraft consulting and management for the Southeast U.S., including Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, North and South Carolina. Mr. McDowell's industry background includes positions at Flight Options, where he was Area Sales Manager for the Southeast, and Continental Express Airlines. He  earned his Aviation Management degree at Auburn University. Mr. McDowell is dedicated to providing the highest levels of service to our owners and customers as he works to grow our business and market share in the Southeast United States.

Director Of Maintenance

As Director of Maintenance for FlightWorks, Tony Raines brings more than 20 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience, specializing in turbine powered aircraft. Mr. Raines experience includes 10 years in the U.S. Air Force as Maintenance Crew Chief, Quality Assurance Inspector and Shift Supervisor. He is responsible for maintaining the FlightWorks fleet, supervising maintenance technicians and updating maintenance documentation. He holds a degree in Aeronautical Science and maintains licensure in Inspection Authorization and A & P. Mr. Raines has received several awards throughout his career, including Cobb County Business of the Year.

Chief Pilot

As Chief Pilot, Mr. Sarmento oversees all flight crew personnel and ensures that all staff and aviation activities are compliant with Federal Aviation Regulations and FlightWorks’ Operating Specifications.  He is responsible for recruitment, hiring and training of all flight crew personnel and general oversight of the company’s compliance program.  Prior to joining FlightWorks, Ari Sarmento was a Director with IHG where he was instrumental in the global hotel operation’s IT reorganization.  Mr. Sarmento’s extensive aviation background includes Director of Business Operations for Executive Fliteways, Inc., Operations Manager for Blue Night Aviation, Inc. and Director at American Airlines/Sabre.  Mr. Sarmento holds an Aviation Management degree from Ohlone College; and, he is a member of several aviation and community associations.

Director of Information Technology

Johan Segring, Director of Information Technology, is responsible for enhancing and maintaining the information technology infrastructure for the FlightWorks enterprise. He directs, develops and designs customized applications for use in conjunction with enterprise systems to increase efficiencies within FlightWorks business processes. FlightWorks IT department provides ongoing service enrichment to our clients, both internal and external. Prior to his employment with FlightWorks, Mr. Segring held positions as an Information Technology Specialist with Pentastar Aviation and Customer Service Manager with US Airways. He graduated from Western Michigan University's College of Aviation with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management & Technologies and a minor in Business. He is actively involved in the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce (SACC-Georgia).

Safety & Security Manager

As FlightWorks Safety & Security Manager, Mr. Young is responsible for implementing and administering FlightWorks' flight and ground safety programs.  He oversees FlightWorks safety goals to operate the highest safety standards possible, measured by Federal regulations, independent industry audits and an ISO 9001:2000 safety management system. Mr. Young is a retired Master Army Aviator with more than 38 years of Aviation experience. He has held positions such as Aviation Safety Officer, Accident Investigator, Standardization Instructor Pilot, Instrument Flight Examiner, Contracting Officer's Representative and Unit Commander.
